Truly natural beauty!

When I was asked to do an organic food beauty shoot, I jumped at the idea. I must admit it was slightly out of my comfort zone, but I decided to rise to the challenge and enjoyed the shoot very much. The photographer and I spent the weeks before looking for interesting food that we could use. I found all kinds of interesting fruits and vegetables, played with colours from things like tumeric and spirulina but in the end we actually kept it quite simple. Starfruit and berries, icing sugar, honey and cream were used for our final shots.

Maybe not an everyday look but perhaps some inspiration for some homemade beauty. Most of what we used would be right at home in a face pack – hopefully our model’s skin got a bit of a treat that day! I’m currently reading The Ultimate Natural Beauty Bible and they’ve got some great recipes in there if you do fancy a bit of truly natural skincare. It is a great read if you want to learn more about natural beauty, I will write a longer post on it…
