Have I said before that I like blusher? Well now I really like blusher – it works wonders after just a few hours sleep, which thanks to my 4 month old daughter is what I’m averaging most nights at the moment! (Hence the lack of posts… ) I’ve always been a fan of cream blushers as they are so quick and easy but my current personal favourite is a mineral powder from Alima Pure. They have 24 colours to choose from – 12 shimmer and 12 matt shades, so there literally is something for everyone.
I have been using Freja which is from the luminous shimmer range and is a best seller in the states. It is a peachy apricot, not dissimilar to Nars’ Orgasm. The colour is lovely and long lasting, it gives a great sheen – just the right amount of shimmer for perking up the most tired skin. Blusher will brighten eyes too and draw attention away from dark circles.
I use one of Alima Pure’s mineral foundation first as a base and then apply the blusher with a brush up along the cheekbones. Blend it in well with a clean brush so it looks like a healthy glow rather than a stripe of colour.
I love the packaging of these powders, they have an inner lid that twists open and closed meaning no spillages in your bag which has happened to me many times with loose powders.
